Benefit of the Doubt
I have a reputation among those who know me both online and off as having a slight cynical streak. Particularly when it comes to politicians. I just tend to automatically assume they are self-serving liars.
But I am going to make an exception. I am going to make an exception for one of the most liberal politicians ever to run for the White House. An exception for a candidate who is essentially a socialist.
An exception for Barack Obama.
Obama has said that that in the twenty years he attended the Trinity Church he never heard Reverand Wright say anything offensive or controversial. I am going to choose to believe him. Obama has said that he saw the sermon clips that had started this story as nothing more than sound bites taken out of context and looped endlessly by the media. That they did not reveal the real Reverand Wright. I am willing to believe that Obama actually believed that.
In fact I am willing to accept as real true an honest everything Obama has said both in defense of and in repudiating Reverand Wright.
And I think you should to.
Then I think you should ask yourself if Obama got Wright so wrong for so long, do you really want him to be choosing the next Secretary of Defense? The next Secretary of State? The next Director of Homeland Security? The next head of the EPA? The next Supreme Court Justice?

In the movie, Analyze This, with Billy Crystal, the DeNiro character starts pointing his finger and smiling, "You, you're good..." to indicate his appreciation. So, in keeping with that warped thought process, "You, you're good!" lol
