I'd Still Rather Be Sailing

It's time for another Volvo Ocean Race update.

Leg 5 Got underway yesterday. Rio to Baltomore, MD. Over the first 24 hours, the racing has been close.

ABN AMRO One is in its very familiar position - the lead.

Pirates of the Caribbean and ABN AMRO Two are tied for second only two miles behind.

Tied for third, five miles behind the leader are Brasil 1 and Ericsson.

Bringing up the rear Movistar, six miles behind the leader.

This leg of the race will present some interesting challenges in terms of navigation, weather and tactics. And with the finish well up inside the Chesapeake, there is no such thing as a safe lead.

Video of the start Here.
