Testing a Theory

Michelle Malkin, via her syndicated column, is providing just about the only MSM coverage of MoveOn.org's efforts to shgut down Cafe Press vendors who were offering items critical of the organization and its "General Betray Us" ad.

The Free Speech for Me but not for Thee thugs at MoveOn used copyright law to send cease and desist letters to Cafe Press and the vendors involved.

So I decided to conduct a little experiment. I opened a Cafe Press shop and listed some items that according to their standard violate MoveOn's copyright. My items however don't say anything bad about MoveOn. (and yes it was very hard to do!)

There are also buttons, mugs and a bumper sticker.

How long do you think it will take before I get a cease and desist letter for violating their copyright?

Any proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to the National Military Family Association charity.

1 Ha! I appreciate your stand! I don't know if you'll get a C&D letter. They might just be ignoring the whole debacle. You can't even pull mine up through meta-tagging.
Anyway, thanks for the silent support. I hope you'll buy something at the PoliStewCafe to support the NMFA. They're doing their best to ignore more me. Most of the Moderators and CafePress Staff are liberals.

2 I may wait a day or two then arrange to be "anonymously reported" just to see if the Democrats.org will do anything.
