The Audacity of Joe

Joe the Plumber had the audacity to ask The One a question about his tax policies. The one, in one of those politically painful moments of honesty, answered. He told Joe the Plumber that his tax policy was designed to share the wealth.

To take money from people who earned it, and give it to people who didn't.

He explained that his vision for U.S. tax policy was basic Socialism.

You would think that would be a big deal. That The One's answer would be the focus of a lot of discussion and debate among the chattering classes and the media.

You would be wrong.

The left and the media (but I repeat myself) have been all over Joe the Plumber. Digging into his background and personal affairs in way they have never bothered to do with the candidate.

News flash people. Joe the Plumber is not running for President. He simply had the audacity to ask a question that no one in the media - or the McCain campaign - was going to ask.

1 Follow the yellow brick road, Follow the yellow brick road...

The voice of the little people must be so annoying to those in positions of power.
