The Vision Thing

Today President Obama spoke welcoming Paul Ryan to the presidential race. If you've been under a rock for the last few days Ryan was selected by Mitt Romney to be his running mate.

The One had this to say:

"He is a decent man, he is a family man, he is an articulate spokesman for Governor Romney’s vision but it is a vision that I fundamentally disagree with.”

Over the weekend I watch recordings of several Romney and Ryan speeches. Together they outlined a vision based on the founding principles of the country. Citing often the language of the Declaration of Independence:

that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The repeatedly noted that our rights do not come from government, but that government exists to protect our rights. They stressed the importance of individual liberty and individual responsibility and individual success.

They outlined a vision of a resurgent, strong, successful America.

When Obama says this is a vision he fundamentally disagrees with, the clear evidence of his policies indicates he may actually be speaking the truth.

1 Obama is speaking the truth - for once... He is fundamentally at odds with the basic principles upon which this country was founded - which is shown over and over again, in his policies. Either he is an idiot - or his goals are to destroy this nation, and every economist who isn't a liberal wonk will tell you the fastest and easiest way to destroy any nation, is through deficit spending.

I fully expect a period of hyper inflation to set in where the American dollar isn't worth a penny. That wipes out dept (hey what is 150 Trillion in the hole when it costs a Trillion for a loaf of bread?), as well as savings and everything else that isn't a REAL asset.

I never used to believe that one President could destroy this once great nation, but I never planned on the perfect storm of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid - talk about Three Stooges... He is forth-right when he states his beliefs - that "you create nothing, it all comes from the government".

Sounds a lot like Hugo Chavez... The results will be similar - watch for more and more Americans to renounce their US citizenship... I never thought I would be one of them, but I'm divesting myself of my US assets and setting up more and more off-shore. I can still stop it - but November will be the decision point. If he wins again, I'm gone. And I can proudly say that for the last two years I've paid no US taxes as I've let my US based companies eat losses to offset profits, while my companies off-shore are doing VERY well... Most are in Asian markets at the moment, but some are in European where the tax structure benefits me. 

 I hope that Romney wins - I don't know if he can turn things around - Obama is leaving quite a disaster - makes Bush Jr seem like an amateur...
